Discover the joys of printing on fabric during this full weekend of block printing with Susana McDonnel of LinoCave. Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced block printer looking to refine your skills, Susana will allow you the opportunity to learn new techniques for each aspect of block printing and most importantly, have time to practice them. Susana will demonstrate her tried and true methods for pattern design, carving and different methods of inking. All materials and supplies will be included, but if students have specific fabric items they would like to print, they should bring them along, but please pre-wash them. Students will leave with an array of hand-printed textiles, their own rubber block, and the skills and knowledge to continue the process from home!
