Learn the fundamentals of making a flatback case-bound book, from folding sections and sewing the text block, to making the case and uniting the two parts into one handsome structure. This class covers the Bradel case, which utilizes a strip of connecting paper that allows you to fully build the case before covering it in cloth or paper. *no experience necessary, basic materials included

Nicoline Meyer is an emerging book artist and proprietor of Silver Ocean Studio, currently based in Boston. Nicoline creates her own work and performs unique and edition work for clients. A recent graduate of North Bennet Street School (NBSS), she is currently the Preservation Coordinator at Brandeis University and the Exhibitions and Events.
