Let’s upcycle and reuse an all too common household material for printmaking, plastic food packaging. In this one day workshop we will be taking a look at plastic food boxes and using monotype, drypoint and collagraph techniques to make prints.

In this workshop we will cover how to set up and handprint at home as well as using the studio presses.

Tools that are helpful to bring to the workshop are scissors, x-acto knife, and an etching needle tool. Cartons will be provided but if you have your own saved bring them along! Containers of interest are plastic lettuce boxes, clear plastic “clam shell” food boxes, take out sushi lids, plastic packaging with the #1, #5, or #6.
