From Photo to Etching - Learn Photogravure with Ralph Robinson

This class is limited to 5 attendees.
Cost: $400 +$55 materials fee

In this workshop we’ll produce intaglio prints from your photographs, (and even photos from your iphone!) with easy-to-use photo-sensitive plates. By blending the best of modern materials with traditional methods, we will produce stunning hand-pulled photo-etchings, moving quickly from image to plate to final print. Each participant will create their own etching plates, completing each step of the process.The workshop will serve as an introduction for those who are new to the process, or as a way to broaden skills for those who have learned other methods of photo-etching. You will be working with an instructor who is committed to your success and will help you continue printing once the class is finished. You do not need to be a master of Photoshop to participate in the workshop, though a little bit will be helpful.
