Cost: $360 + $55 materials fee

Learn how to create hollow sculptural forms with thin sheets of handmade paper. Laminate Casting is similar to papier maché but has the advantage of added strength and refinement by controlling the hand papermaking process. Bring in your own inspiring dimensional forms or armatures to directly laminate sheets on to.

Techniques
-Forming sheets with overbeaten pulp
-Pressing sheets
-Strategizing the seams
-Shrinkage during drying

*Participants will also have the opportunity to attend additional “Open Studio” Hours following the workshop to continue their projects & use up the remaining pulp from these sessions. There will be a $45/day Open Studio fee.
