Gel plate printing fun and experimental mono printing process that yields exciting and
unpredictable results - no press required! Making prints on a gel plate is ideal for creating papers for collage, bookmaking, cards or journaling as well as final art prints. This process results in wonderful overlays of colors and patterns. Students will learn best ways to apply acrylic paints on the plate using a variety of tools for mark making, stenciling, masking techniques as well as care and feeding of gel plates.

All levels of experience and curiosity are welcomed. This workshop is for students new to the gel plate as well anyone wanting to explore additional techniques for their art tool box. Gel plates, brayers and paint, papers, mark-making and other tools will be supplied for use during the workshop.
