Experience the magic of eco‐printing on paper, a process of making direct contact botanical prints from the natural pigment found in plants. Combining contemporary print techniques with historic methods of natural dying resulting in unique one of a kind botanical prints. During this daylong workshop; participants will explore the alchemical process of combining water, plant materials, heat, and metals and end up with some beautiful prints on watercolor paper. We will be using a heat press as well as the bundling tin can method. We will also discuss safety procedures and the sustainable practice of foraging and gathering plant material. This workshop will surprise and delight your senses

All participants are encouraged to bring in any fresh leaves and flowers they may have access to from their gardens or yards, the instructor will also provide some specimens.
